In the wake of a meme circulating on social media targeting Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the Kolkata Police has taken a stringent stance, demanding the identity of the meme's creator. The meme shared by @SoldierSaffron7, which gained traction online, prompted the law enforcement agency to issue a stern directive for the disclosure of the maker's name and address.

The video shows Mamata Banerjee dancing on the stage on music created by funny excerpts from her previous speeches. This video mocks her as a leader.

The Kolkata Police's official response, posted on social media, explicitly instructed the creator of the meme to promptly reveal their identity, including their name and residence. Failure to comply with this demand could lead to legal repercussions under Section 42 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), as stated in the post.

This incident marks another instance where the Bengal police has intervened to address tweets and memes that ridicule or satirize the Chief Minister. Such actions reflect a growing trend of law enforcement agencies monitoring and responding to online content that targets public figures, particularly political leaders.
